creating, for the sake of it

I am 30-something from southern Oregon living in Austin, Texas. I am a student of the stars and the natural world, both who help me to live with complexity while simultaneously distilling my essence.

I only recently allowed myself to believe I am creative. I don’t think I’m alone in a culture that consistently devalues the natural flow of creativity in favor of making all the ”right” decisions to get a “good job” and have a “stable life”. I am still recovering and continually unwinding this conditioning, and existing here is a part of my process. 

Maybe it’s being on the other side of 30, or maybe it’s living through 2020 - but I am beginning to understand that living authentically and leading with love is the most brave way I can leave my footprint in this life.
